Greetings, Ankara Fam! It's been a while. How are you? No, really... How ARE YOU? Hoping you're healthy, of sound mind, and positive spirits! :)
When I wrote my 2020 goals down last year, I never imagined that it would include navigating a global pandemic alongside increased racial tension in our country. There has been a lot of uncertainty over the past few months. And just like so many other small businesses, Ankara Delights has taken a hit. It took weeks of deliberate consideration to decide what next steps will be taken to ensure our doors remain open to serve our community of fashion & culture enthusiasts.
I'm grateful for those that have asked how they can support! The easiest answer is to SHOP ONLINE. I've added TONS of new items to the website including men & women's apparel, fabric face masks, hand-crafted accessories & home goods, authentic fabric, natural skin/hair essentials, unique gift items, and, of course, more signature Ankara Delights head wraps. I'd love for you to own a piece of Africa and offer FREE Priority Shipping for orders over $50.
My continued mission is to support the many other small, black owned (majority women owned) businesses, designers, and artisans that contribute to the vast selection of personally curated products available via AnkaraDelights.com. I can only continue to do this with your help!
While the storefront continues to be closed for the remainder of the month, my small but mighty team is working on ensuring a safe & welcoming reopening, hopefully, by mid-July. In the meantime, we are still shipping every other day, offering curbside pick-ups, and taking appointments for personalized in-store shopping experiences. We're also adding an in-store component for booked photo shoots complete with personalized styling for your upcoming celebrations while social distancing. More details coming soon. Stay tuned!
